SNAP/EBT & Market Match
We offer SNAP/EBT token distribution on Saturdays and Wednesdays during market hours. We double tokens up to $15 through our Market Match program from 8:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays year-round and on Wednesdays (seasonally mid-April & October). Tokens are valued at $1 and may be used at participating vendors for the purchase of fresh produce, fish, meats, eggs, honey, milk, bread and other food items. Vendors may not give change back on Market Token purchases. Stop by the Information Hub to receive your SNAP tokens and look for the SNAP logo for participating vendors.
Orange Card: Market Tokens
We offer GCCN Orange card token distribution ($10 per week) on year-round Saturdays and Wednesdays (seasonally mid-April & October). The tokens are valued at $1 and may be used at participating vendors for purchase of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats, seafood, milk, cheese, eggs, and honey. Orange Card holders are asked to present their GCCN Orange Card and ID at the Information Hub. Vendors may not give change back on Market Token purchases. Orange Card Market Tokens may be used at participating vendors displaying Orange Card token signs. Through a partnership with Guilford Community Care Network (GGCN), GFM founded the Orange Card Token Program to provide farm-fresh food to Guilford County residents in need. Funding for the program is secured by GFM, Inc., and GGCN (501-c3 non-profits) with support from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and Guilford Adult Health, Inc.
Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) awards grants to States, U.S. Territories, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to provide low-income seniors with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods (fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs). Several Market vendors accept the voucher. The SFMNP coupons can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables from over 20 verified farmers at GFM. A list of the vendors is available at the Market Information Desk and participating vendors will display a FMNP program sign at their stall.
WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, known as WIC. Women, infants (over 4 months old) and children that have been certified to receive WIC program benefits. A variety of fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs may be purchased with FMNP coupons at several Market vendors.
Farmer Foodshare
Farmer Foodshare programs is a non-profit organization that it located in North Carolina. The program accepts food donations and cash donations from Market shoppers and purchases fresh foods from farmers to connect them local hunger relief agency. GFM Gift Tokens
Share your love of local and the Curb Market with your family and friends. Available in our online Shop in $21 increments (includes $1 handling fee) that can be spent like cash with participating vendors. Includes small drawstring gift bag perfect for presenting and storing tokens. Orders of less than $20 can be purchased at the Information Hub during Saturday Market hours.
